K8 ASTERLUND
K8, a.k.a. B-girl Lynx, started breaking in ’98. Member of: Ellementale 5 b-girl crew, the Solid State Breakdance Collective, All or Nothing Crew, and Noda Cho Danceworks (her own troupe), she has a degree in Contemporary Dance from Concordia University, danced for Martha Carter’s House of Pride, and toured and performed in France with Destins Croisés company. K8 works with the youth troupe Next Level, has given workshops in Alberta, Toronto, France and the North West Territories (for aboriginal youth) and taught her Style Sessions classes since 2002. Her choreographies have been presented at Edgy Women, the Definition Non Applicable Urban Dance Festival, the Festival Montréalais de la danse, and the Hysteria Festival of Women. She does fight choreography and was featured in the Kung Fu action film ‘Empty Hand’ and a breakdance film, ‘Breaking the Case’.

ROLAND BÉRARD
A Reiki Master since 1997, Roland has been teaching energy healing for 8 years. He obtained a Diploma in Brennan Healing Science from the Barbara Brennan School of Healing in 2002 and graduated from the School’s Advanced Teaching Program in 2005. He has been studying the Hakomi Method since 2002, is working toward becoming a certified trainer and organizes and assists in Hakomi trainings in the Montreal area. He is an advanced practitioner of the Emotional Freedom Technique, is passionate about healing and personal growth and has a healing practice in Montreal.

OLENA HARASYMOWYCZ
Pilates consists of over 500 exercises that strengthen the deep core muscles, combining breathing with movement to develop the student's postural alignment, body awareness, concentration, control, precision, breathing and fluid movement. Pilates has many benefits: improved posture, flexibility and coordination and reduced stress through the mastery of breathing.
Olena discovered Pilates in 1994 while pursuing classical ballet training at the London Studio Centre, integrating it into her dance training with excellent results. Throughout her dance career she has relied on the Pilates method to help her perform at peak levels, prevent injuries and keep fit in the off season. She has taught classical ballet for five years at the Conservatoire de Danse de Montréal and has finished a Master's degree in Dance Education. In 2006, Olena received her certification to teach Pilates matwork at the Centre Pilates de Montréal and has since been teaching group as well as private classes.

RICK JAROW
Rick Jarow, Ph.D., is the author of Creating the Work You Love, Your Life’s Work, In Search of the Sacred, The Yoga of Work, and numerous articles and tapes. He is currently an assistant professor of Eastern Religions at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and is a former Mellon Fellow in the Humanities at Columbia University. Jarow’s work, based on the years he has spent in India as both a researcher and practitioner of yoga, meditation, and the healing arts, focuses on interfacing intuitive inner experience with effective action in the world.

’Antara’ Kyra Lober, M.A., is the creator of Body Being & Heart, Seminars, Sessions & Retreats. She is a CranioSacral and Lymph Drainage Therapist, a certified teacher and practioner of Body-Mind Centering as well as a teacher of Feldenkrais Awareness through Movement and a Reiki Master. L.O.V.E.
L.O.V.E. offers alternatives and support to youth ages 13 to 19 years whose lives are affected by violence (as perpetrators, witnesses, or victims), the support and skills needed to transform destructive behaviours, and an opportunity to work proactively to stop violence in their communities. Skills are taught for leadership, self-esteem, self-reliance, confidence, critical thinking, conflict resolution, public speaking, group dynamics, technology, and community building. Photojournalism training (at Dawson College) allows youth to analyze and document the causes, impact, and prevention of violence.
